Dr Myers has written a super easy to read book that I have now recommended to many to deal with mild to severe autoimmune spectrum disorders. Using the methods in this book, my IBS and lupus-like syndrome have been completely put into remission.I read the book on Kindle which was well formatted and listened to the audiobook.

I'm 28 days into this plan, and it's already changed my life. I was diagnosed with Graves' Disease in November 2016 and struggled for many months prior to my diagnosis. I am a 37 year old woman.I have suffered from acid reflux since 2000 (treated with Nexium), chronic allergy induced sinusitis since 2001 (managed with Allegra, Astelin, and Singulair), acne all through high school and my adult life. Graves' Disease added hand tremors, hair loss, muscle weakness, insomnia, general fatigue, IBS symptoms, restlessness, itching, memory loss, rapid heart rate (resting HR of 102 bpm) and more. My thyroid levels at diagnoses were 3 times above normal and I was put on heart medication and thyroid blocking medication (30 mg). After 6 weeks at 30 mg, I felt significantly better. My thyroid levels began to normalize and my doctor cut me to 15 mg. It was awful in about 2 days. So he bumped me up to 20 mg and I felt okay. After 6 weeks T3 and T4 were looking good, still no TSH. He dropped me again to 15 mg. Again in 2 or 3 days I felt awful so we went back to 20 mg. Another 6 weeks went by and we tried yet again to drop me to 15 mg. This time I was also taking prednisone for pain so the lower dose of thyroid blocker worked fine...until the prednisone wore off. So back up to 20 again. This is when I got really frustrated and started researching books. After a couple of days I decided on The Autoimmune Solution.While I read the book I drastically reduced dairy and gluten and immediately began to sleep better. In fact, it was better sleep than I've gotten in as long as I can remember with 2 years of Fitbit sleep logs to back it up. That fueled my desire to follow the plan even more. I dropped to 15 mg again on April 8th. It was going fairly well with the reduced dairy and gluten protocols. Even more promising. I fully started the plan on May 1st, 2017. By May 9th, I was experiencing more hypothyroid symptoms rather than hyper. My hands and feet were freezing and I was tired. With 1.5 hours of being wrapped up in two warm blankets, my hands and feet were still freezing. I called my endocrinologist and was instructed to get my labs done early. Although it takes 6-8 weeks of a dosage change to be reflected in blood tests, I had one after 10 days on The Myers Way and only 4 weeks on the lower dose. TSH returned!!! And both other thyroid levels were in normal. Incredible!Now I'm off Nexium and ALL of my allergy medicines. I feel better than I've ever felt in my adult life. As an added bonus, I've lost at least 6 pounds. While weight loss was not my goal, it's a nice added benefit. My symptoms have resolved. My resting heart rate continues to drop to levels I've never seen in my life. I could not be happier that I made the decision to purchase this book and take control of my health.I'm a real person with real data. I have labs and tracking on my Fitbit to provide solid evidence that this works. I buy my supplements at the local compounding pharmacies and here on Amazon.

I have read a lot of books recently about gut health and how it is the most important aspect of your overall health, but this book completely tops all of them and then some. I want to scream from the roof tops about this book, and I have already made all of my friends read it. Even if you don't have autoimmunity, you still need to read this. This book should be read by every person everywhere.I wanted to wait at least 6 months before giving a review because reviews are useless if you haven't given it some time and effort. I have been on Amy's program more strictly for about 5 months and I can say it's a life changer. My father has horrible psoriasis and I have been terrified of getting it my whole life. I have seborrheic dermatitis and have never been able to get it under control as well as a host of other small ailments. I am 32 years old and thought I was relatively healthy. I realized after reading this book that I had a very bad yeast overgrowth in my gut with all the symptoms that go along with that. So that's where I started....I first did the diet changes and the yeast/candida program by using the caprylic acid and candisol every day for 3 months. I noticed a huge difference in just 2 weeks. All symptoms were gone (I won't get into them, but trust me, not pretty) and what was the most amazing was I stopped craving any carbs/sugar and 5 months later this is still the case. You could put a fresh baked croissant in front of my face and I don't care. On top of the candida program I take the L-glutamine, Glutathione, Fish Oil (Metagenics), probiotics, and Ashwhaganda (which is a recommendation from Dr. Kulreet's The Prime) as well as Magnesium every night. I follow her diet program, but not to an insane degree. I have sugar sometimes, as well as cheese, and wine. I don't have full blown autoimmune disease so there is definitely more leniency with the diet part-- but I really avoid gluten as much as I can.The biggest changes I have noticed are no bloating, regularity, my skin looks great (people tell me a lot that I am "glowing"-- seriously no one has ever said that to me until now), my seborrheic dermatitis is GONE, I have way more energy, less anxiety, brain fog, no cravings, and I had chronic pain in my forearms and elbows from nerve entrapment-- it's 95% relieved. Also, I have always been slim, but since I have started this I lost those last few pounds that bothered me and I don't have any trouble keeping them off now.Yes, the supplements aren't cheap. The diet guidelines can take some getting used to. But there are so many things that can be taken out of this book and applied to your life that will help you feel better, even if you can't do it all. It is a must read!!

This book is perfect for the content strategist who needs help running their first (or 50th) projects. The downloadable worksheets are extremely helpful, and while you may not use everything in here, I promise you will be referring to it constantly.

I have read most of the available books on content strategy. I've enjoyed all of them and benefited from their advice when working on site redesigns and migrations. Yet, I still longed for a resource that more effectively combined practice information with the tools and tactics underlying the strategy.Meghan Casey's book is exactly what I needed. She explains each process step concisely but thoroughly. She suggests variations based on available time, budget, and resources. She then says "now download and use Tool X at [URL]." Where appropriate, she sometimes recommends that the same or slightly altered version of a tool be used again in a later step.I enjoyed Meaghan's conversational tone. Reading this book is like having a coach. Even if you have a zillion books on content strategy, I recommend that you add The Content Strategy Toolkit to your library.

Excellent book for those who want to be guided through the content strategy process. From getting your stakeholder buy-in to creating and executing the strategy, it's all here. I got this book immediately after sitting in a workshop with the author, Meghan Casey. She's great and very knowledgeable. The perfect tool for content marketers!

Practical and useful. I have been applying some of the techniques and insights in my work. Ms. Casey is also a terrific instructor/speaker in-person. I was fortunate to have taken a full-day course with her and got a lot out of it.

Meghan Casey's The Content Strategy Toolkit delivers what it promises: a well-structured, content-rich set of tools for content strategy practitioners both novice and advanced. I appreciate the practicality of this book. The author organizes her thoughts into a linear, logical flow, communicated in useful bullet-points, making it easy to browse and read.Casey packs her book with a workshop full of well-crafted and useful content strategy tools, including a stakeholder matrix, project kick-off email, project team matrix, session plan and even a sample agenda.In addition to these many tools, Casey offers clear directions for mapping out stakeholders processes, artifacts and deliverables; project management guidance, including timeline, material, reporting and rhythms and a strong overview of the content inventory, auditing, and mapping process.Casey also pays close attention to the stakeholder interview process, including questions and documentation review process notes. These notes culminate in building a discovery inside workbook incorporating best practices from UX design, market research, and general business consulting.While this may seem like an overwhelming amount of material to keep under control, Casey does a good job of aligning all the parts into a strategic framework that ties everything together, from the beginning of the process through the resulting outputs and actions.Casey offers a nod to Sara Wachter-Boettcher’s book Content Everywhere in her overview of structured content and entering content into the CMS.Her content types and components tend to be large, chunky, and high-level -- so it's at this level a high level introduction to modelling.The book does have a tendency to focus on personal and in-person outputs and processes involving sticky notes and whiteboards best suited for traditional and co-located teams, and not much guidance is offered on how to apply the same processes in distributed environments. It may be that content strategy is a full-contact sport, but the nature of business is increasingly distributed, and content strategists should be prepared to embrace various kinds of collaboration.As a content engineer, I also would have appreciated seeing more about content modeling. Casey does reference Rachel Lovinger’s article on the A List Apart website, but largely breezes over structured content and content modeling. Content strategists should embrace and understand content modeling as a core competency, even though content engineers should ultimately own and maintain the content model in collaboration with IT and development stakeholders. The content strategists who are equipped to natively understand and be able to contribute to content models will do their clients great service by contributing to content reuse structure.Casey wraps up her book with a very helpful outline of content governance, editorial management, and other content maintenance topics. She also provides a list of all the tools used in the book, though I wish she had also included additional references to third-party materials and resources for students.All in all, I give The Content Strategy Toolkit: Methods, Guidelines, and Templates for Getting Content Right five stars, because I believe it to be a practical, essential part of a content strategy bookshelf, and a strong orientation to anybody getting into the field. For other content strategy tools and templates, you might also check out the freely available tools from the Content Strategy Alliance. Those tools are helpful, but the context provided by Meghan Casey’s book is invaluable for any student of content strategy.

Meghan Casey's book is truly a toolkit in that it provides tons of relevant resources while clearly laying out how they should be used. The diagrams and charts bring the text to life and help clarify how content needs to be thought about before a plan can be made. The author provides useful lists of types of content that can be used in different situations (or for different types of companies) and clearly spells out how all the content pieces fit together. I would recommend this book to anyone looking to build content for a startup or for those who need to overhaul their existing content.

An indispensable handbook that conveys the full depth and breadth of content strategy, complete with realistic examples and ready-to-use tools. I return to reference this book often. One of my favorites about this topic.

There were a few minor formatting issues in the book, the grammar was good, and the tone of writing - inviting and engaging. Putting the preview of the next book, “Hacking” was genius - I know there is a next read, and it has nothing to do with sliding over to the criminal side of life!

What do I mean by this? “Solar Body” refers to someone who creates her own health and happiness by recovering her natural healing power, making herself shine brightly like the sun. It doesn’t take complex technology or tremendous effort to recover natural healing power and achieve a Solar Body. The Solar Body isn’t about creating an amazingly muscular physique, or developing an enviably slender waistline. It’s about reviving a sense for the balance and harmony that exist perfectly within us. The secret of natural healing power―the heart of the Solar Body concept―is found in a linking of three elements: body temperature, breathing, and the power of the observing mind. When, by concentrating our minds, we feel our body heat and observe our breathing, we recover the desired balance of body temperature, with the head cool and the lower abdomen warm. Breathing naturally grows deeper and slower. The life energy in our bodies is activated and circulates, and our natural healing power manifests best in this state. In this book, I’ve introduced some simple but powerful methods of meditation and exercise for maximizing natural healing power. The Solar Body Method is made up of Sunlight Meditation to receive solar energy directly from sunlight; Solar Energy Circuit Training for total transformative healing with focused awareness; and Solar Body exercises for increasing body temperature and recovering optimal energy balance through movement.
